Occupy Congress?

The first candidate claiming to represent the Occupy movement has announced he is collecting signatures to compete in the Democrat primary for a House seat from Pennsylvania.   If the Occupy movement really intends to be a progressive counterweight to the Tea Party this makes some sense.  They will have to start running “their” candidates the same way Tea Party affiliated groups do.  Although, given the scenes from the Occupy protests last summer, I wonder if the candidates would be better off if their supporters do not come out and hold rallies.  Pooping on cop cars tends to not be well received at most candidate functions.
