In the this video Neil Barofsky, former special inspector general for TARP (SIGTARP), talks about how much of an abysmal failure the Troubled Asset Relief Program was. Neil is a registered Democrat appointed to his position by Bush and kept by Obama, whom he voted for. His new book is a bipartisan critique of what he says as crony capitalism at its worse. Given the way tax money was diverted to banks with almost no oversight, I would go so far as to call it legalized theft.
National Review also has a piece detailing the words of the former CEO of Wells Fargo. He says TARP was terrible and the banks made billions off the taxpayers.
